IND vs NZ 3rd ODI – India whitewash New Zealand by 90 runs to become number 1!

Indore: Indian cricket team won the third and final ODI against New Zealand by 91 runs. With this, the series has been captured 3-0. It has also topped the rankings for international ODI cricket teams.

New Zealand cricket team is touring India and playing cricket series. Both the teams played in ODI series. The last match of the series was played in Indore. New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl. Indian team scored 385 runs.

New Zealand chased down the target of 386 runs to win. Allan, who was the opener for the team, got out in the first over bowled by Pandya without scoring a run. Conway then put on a 106-run partnership with Nicholls. Nicholls lost his wicket for 42 runs.

He then put on a 78-run partnership with Mitchell. Mitchell, out for 24 runs. Tom Latham, the captain of the team who came next, got out without scoring any runs. Phillips was out for 5 runs.

Conway lost his wicket after scoring 138 off 100 balls. Bracewell was out for 26 runs. Then the team lost wickets in succession. Santner was out for 34 runs as the last wicket. New Zealand were bowled out for 295 runs in 41.2 overs.

Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets each for India. Sahal took 2 wickets. Pandya and Umran Malik took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, captain Rohit and Gill opened the innings for India in the first innings. Both added 212 runs for the first wicket. Both showed mass by registering a century in the same over.

Rohit left with 101 runs off 85 balls. Gill got out with 118 off 78 balls. Then Ishan Kishan, Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Washington Sundar lost their wickets and returned to the pavilion. At that time, the Indian team did not have the right partnership.

Pandya and Shardul Thakur put on a 7th wicket partnership of 54 runs. Thakur was out after scoring 25 runs. Pandya scored 54 runs off 38 balls and lost his wicket. At the end of 50 overs, the Indian team accumulated 385 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.
