IND vs NZ First T20 |  Unstable top players;  Washington Sundar’s struggle was in vain – Indian team lost

Ranchi: New Zealand won the first T20I against India by 21 runs.

India chased down the target of 177 runs to win. Gill and Ishan Kishan were the openers. In this, Kishan scored 4 runs and got out. Rahul Tripathi and Subman Gill also lost their wickets. The Indian team lost 3 wickets for 15 runs in 3.1 overs.

Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya played patiently. Hardik scored only 21 runs off 20 balls with a six and a four each. Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed after scoring 47 runs. Washington Sundar was the only one who played after this. Although he fought for the Indian team’s victory in the last minute, he could not score enough runs. He too was caught before the last ball of the game for 50 runs. As a result, the Indian team scored only 155 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.

Santer, Ferguson and Bracewell took maximum two wickets each in the New Zealand side.

New Zealand Innings: Indian cricket team won the toss and chose to bowl. The New Zealand team played with the tendency to add runs quickly from the start.

Allen scored 35 runs off 23 balls. Washington Sundar tried to hit a six off the ball and he got out. Mark Chapman was dismissed for no runs in the same over. Conway then put on a 60-run partnership with Glenn Phillips. Phillips lost his wicket for 17 runs.

Conway got out after scoring 52 runs off 35 balls. Bracewell and Santner also lost their wickets. New Zealand scored 59 runs in the last 5 overs. The team scored 27 runs in the last over alone. That over was bowled by Arshdeep Singh.

Mitchell hit 3 consecutive sixes in that over, including a six off the first ball. With that, he scored a stunning half-century in 26 balls. He scored 4, 0, 2 and 2 runs in the next four balls respectively. With that, at the end of 20 overs, the New Zealand team scored 176 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
