Lahore: Pakistan captain Babar Azam has said that his team will show hundred percent performance in the next match against India. He said this after defeating Bangladesh in the Super-4 round of the Asia Cup series.
The Asia Cup cricket series in which 6 teams namely India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal are participating. This time the matches are held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The 6 teams participating in this series, which will be held till September 17, have been divided into two groups. From the first round, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and India advanced to the Super-4 round.
Pakistan and Bangladesh played the first match of the Super-4 round yesterday. Batting first, Bangladesh were all out for 193 runs in this match held in Lahore. Pakistan reached the target of 194 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 39.3 overs. Harris Rauf won the man of the match award after bowling 6 overs and taking 4 wickets for just 19 runs.
Babar Azam said after this match, “Winning this match gives us confidence to face teams like India. We are always ready for big matches. We will give our hundred percent performance in the next match against India. The support from the fans is overwhelming when playing at home. We have got it,” he said.
India and Pakistan will play in Colombo in the Super-4 round match on Sunday.
