India lost 3 wickets for 21 runs as Madushanka dismissed Rahul Tripathi on the very next ball. At this stage, Hardik Pandya (12) tried to improve the innings along with Suryakumar Yadav. Deepak Hooda (9 off 12 balls) also got out under pressure… India lost half the wickets for 57 runs in 9.1 overs.
At this stage, Akshar Patel and Suryakumar Yadav launched a counter attack against the Sri Lankan bowlers. Especially Akshar Patel dealt with the Sixers. Akshar Patel hit a hat-trick six in the 14th over of Hasaranga’s innings. Suryakumar Yadav also hit a six.. 26 runs were scored in that over. Akshar continued the same attack and completed his half century in 20 balls. This made the match interesting as India scored 75 runs between 11-15 overs.
At the other end, Surya, who was batting at the end, also increased his aggression after seeing Akshar. Surya (51 off 36 balls) who completed his half century with a six in 33 balls in the 15.1 over was dismissed after attempting another six in the same over. Shivam Mavi (26 off 15 balls), who came in to bat in Surya’s place, gave an impressive performance with the bat as well and India looked to win till the last over.
Sri Lankan batters heroics..
