Guwahati: Jasprit Bumrah was a last-minute inclusion in India’s squad for the 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
However, Bumrah did not travel with the Indian team for the first ODI against Sri Lanka in Guwahati today as he felt uncomfortable during training. A senior BCCI official said the decision was taken as Bumrah needed time to reach full fitness ahead of the Test series against Australia.
As a result, Bumrah has withdrawn from the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Bumrah is doubtful for the ODI series against New Zealand later this month.
