The pressure on West Indies soil continues in T20s as well. In the first T20 match against the West Indies at the Trinidad venue on Friday night, the Indian team excelled in batting, bowling and fielding and won by 68 runs. With that… India is leading 1-0 in the five T20 series… and the second T20 match will be held at St. Kitts venue on Monday at 8 pm. It is known that India won the three-match ODI series against West Indies by 3-0. In the match, captain Rohit Sharma (64: 7×4 in 44 balls, 2×6) and Dinesh Karthik (41 not out: 4×4 in 19 balls, 2×6) broke out, losing the toss and batting first, Team India scored 190 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Experimental opener Suryakumar Yadav (24) along with Shreyas Iyer (0), Rishabh Pant (14), Hardik Pandya (1) and Ravindra Jadeja (16) were dismissed for a low score. Among the West Indies bowlers, Alzari Joseph took two wickets. Chasing the target of 191 runs, West Indies were struggling from the start. Openers Kyle Meyers (15) and Brooks (20) were out while trying to play aggressively.. Jason Holder (0), Nicholas Pooran (18), Rovmen Powell (14), Simran Hetmeyer (14), Akela Hossain (11), Oden Smith ( 0) Couldn’t stay at the crease for long. But… Chemopal (19 not out: 2×4 in 22 balls) who counter-attacked the Indian bowlers in the end, prevented the West Indies from being all out. He was supported by Alzari Joseph (5 not out: 11 balls). Among the Indian bowlers, Arshadeep Singh, Ashwin and Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets each. Bhuvneshwar and Jadeja got one wicket each. Overall, the West Indies team was limited to 122/8 in the innings.
