New Delhi. Cases of monkeypox are increasing rapidly across the world. Its new strain Clade 1b found in Thailand is becoming a threat to people. After the virus has spread to neighboring countries, the Indian government has also geared up to deal with this virus. Recently, the first RT PCR kit has been launched in India to test for monkeypox.
Monkeypox can be detected easily through this RT PCR kit. This kit is recognized by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). It is expected that this kit will reach the health department soon. Siemens Healthineers of India has developed its indigenous RT PCR test kit to fight monkeypox.
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has also approved it. The company said that this is an important achievement for our Make in India initiative. Apart from this, it is a big achievement to fight monkeypox. Indian company Siemens Healthineers said that the RT PCR test kit will be prepared in a unit in Vadodara. About 10 lakh kits can be made every year. We are fully prepared to make this RT PCR kit available to the people.

He said that by providing India with RT PCR kits specially designed to combat monkeypox, we are taking a proactive approach in fighting this disease.
