The ban was extended for more than a month as omicron cases spread.
However, the ban will not affect flights operated under the Air Bubble Agreement. The first ban on international flights was imposed in March 2020 after Kovid.
India currently has air bubble agreements with 28 countries. Special international flights are operated with countries including Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Canada, France, Germany, Iraq, Japan, Maldives, Nigeria, Qatar, UAE and UK. And U.S.A. Airbubble has agreements with India, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Kuwait, Nepal, the Netherlands, Oman and Russia.
