India attaches great importance to religious minorities. In that respect, India has got the first position in this list. The Constitution of India contains specific and exclusive provisions for the advancement of religious minorities in culture and education. No other country’s constitution has any express provisions or programs for the promotion of linguistic and religious minorities. Next are South Korea, Japan and Panama. The last places are USA, Maldives, Afghanistan and Somalia.
The UK ranks 54th and the UAE ranks 61st. India’s minority policy is based on an approach that emphasizes promoting diversity.
CPA Report: That is why India has got the top spot in this list. It says so. The CPA report urges periodic review and reexamination of India’s minority policy.
