Washington. The US Supreme Court dismissed the revision petition filed against India’s extradition against India’s extradition. Along with this, the Supreme Court of America has approved the extradition of India of Terrorist Tahawwur Rana. Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin Tawwur Rana is wanted in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
India was requesting his extradition. This was the last legal chance for Tahawwur Rana not to be extradited to India. Earlier, Tahawwur Rana lost a legal battle in several federal courts including the US Appeal Court for North Circuit in San Francisco. Tahwwur Rana filed a revision petition before the US Supreme Court on 13 November.

India had been demanding extradition of Rana, a Canadian citizen of Pakistani -origin for many years. Rana is guilty of 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. The Supreme Court rejected his appeal on 21 January, a day after Donald Trump was sworn in as US President. The Supreme Court said, “The petition is dismissed.” Tahawwur Rana is currently detained in Los Angeles ‘Metropolitan Detention Center’.
Earlier, the US government had argued in the court that the entire protection petition should be dismissed. American Solicitor General Elizabeth B. Prelogar said this in his document filed in the Supreme Court on 16 December. He said that Tehwavur Rana is not entitled to exemption from India extradition in this case.
