Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with the National Disaster Response Force and Air Force personnel who were directly involved in the relief efforts of earthquake-hit Turkey and Syria. He then said: “Our culture is that the world is a family. Wherever people are suffering in the world, our first priority is to immediately go and help them.

The world now looks at India with goodwill. “I will always remember this meeting with you who have served in Turkey and Syria under Operation Dost.”
During this meeting, many officers who participated in the Operation Dost program shared their experiences with the Prime Minister. They spoke with emotion of the appreciation and love they received. They also told the Prime Minister about the sniffer dogs that accompanied them on this trip and helped them locate people buried inside buildings. The sniffer dogs also attended this meeting.
