Sanjay Kumar, Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer of Indigo said in a statement that the launch of the new service aims to provide better facilities for customers to travel to many tourist destinations in Bahrain such as Royal Camel Farm, Island of Pearls, Twin Towers of the Trade Centre.

The plan is to run non-stop services from Bahrain to Mumbai. Officials informed that all services to India will be through Mumbai. Tickets can be booked from Bahrain to all airports operated by IndiGo domestically from Mumbai. Officials informed that the service will be conducted every day of the week.

Get off at Mumbai Airport and reach from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 before traveling to other airports in India. Airlines shuttle bus service will be available to reach Terminal 2. Passengers are required to carry hand baggage only. Check-in baggage will be delivered by the airlines on the domestic flight, officials said. When coming from India to Bahrain, the emigration process of passengers will be completed at Mumbai.
Check-in baggage allowance for passengers from Bahrain is 30 kg. The same weight is allowed when traveling by domestic flight. The service from Bahrain to Kozhikode and Kochi airports will start on August 2.
