Infected wood was imported to Karelia. The corresponding statement was made by the North Sea Interregional Department of Rosselkhoznadzor.
The department warned that this was a batch of timber imported into the republic in August. As it turned out, the party did not have quarantine certificates.
A total of 50 cases of import of such timber have been identified. The volume of coniferous wood that entered the republic without the necessary documents is about 2.8 thousand cubic meters. m. The forest was delivered from phytosanitary quarantine zones in the Kirov, Vologda, Tver and Vologda regions.
Now the recipient of the cargo needs to inspect the wood and take measures to disinfect it, reports IA “Karelinform”.
Earlier, Rosselkhoznadzor specialists found about 240 tons of unsafe grain and products of its processing in Karelia. The product did not have a declaration of conformity. In addition, it did not meet the requirements of the technical regulations on mycotoxins and pesticides.
