Influenza virus is spreading, health care infarction threatens: ‘Effect of holidays is yet to come’

“It seems as if half of the Netherlands is sick in bed.” The flu virus is raging through the country and even threatens to cause a serious stroke at this rate, warns Leon van den Toorn, chairman of the Dutch Association of Physicians for Pulmonary Diseases and Tuberculosis (NVALT). “And the effect of the holidays is yet to come.”
