Infosys dividend: Narayana Murthy’s family members will get Rs 216 crore in one day

Company co-founder Narayana Murthy and his family members will get Rs 217 crore after Infosys announced profit sharing. 17.50 has been declared as dividend. If Narayana Murthy, who holds 1.6 crore shares of Infosys, gets Rs 17.50 per share, the dividend income alone would be Rs 29.12 crore. Last October, the company had paid Rs 16.50 as interim dividend.

Eligible shareholders will receive the proceeds if they hold the shares till June 2.
Dividend will be paid on July 3. Apart from Infosys founder Narayana Murthy, his wife Sudha N Murthy, son Rohan Murthy and daughter Akshata Murthy also hold huge shares of Infosys. According to the shareholding pattern for the December quarter, Akshata Murthy, one of Infosys’ promoters, will get Rs 68.17 crore from the three crore shares of the company held by one of the promoters of Infosys till December 31, 2022. Infosys has not released the latest shareholding pattern yet.

R Narayana Murthy held 0.46% stake in the company in the December quarter. Sudha N Murthy holds 0.95 percent shares of the company. The company will have 3 crore shares. 60.46 crore as dividend from the share. Narayana Murthy’s son Rohan Murthy owns 6 crore shares in Infosys. 106.42 crores will be received as dividend.

This is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs 16.50 per share already paid by Infosys
Dividend to be paid in FY 2023. With this, the total dividend for FY 2023 has become Rs 34 per share. There is an increase of 9.7 percent over FY 2022. Based on the value of the company, the company has declared a total dividend of Rs 14,200 crore.
