Krish Shankar, Head, Human Resource Development Group, Infosys, said: Corona said the employee attraction rate increased after the Pandemic due to various personal factors such as work flexibility and location. Infosys, on the other hand, is opening new offices in four Tier 2 locations. Areas where Infosys will set up offices are in Vizag, Kolkata, Noida and Coimbatore.

Apart from promoting internal promotions and Aesop, the Bangalore-based company has also strengthened its ‘Bridge’ program in the last 12 months. After three months of training through this program, you can become a mid-career software engineer, consultant, power programmer or digital specialist. Shankar said they would also have the opportunity to switch to other departments for higher wages after re-skilling.

At Tech Mahindra, the rate is 24 per cent. Shankar said deploying freshers into projects can have an impact on deliveries. However he said college freshers are doing better compared to senior employees in digital transformation projects. Because the new technologies are new even to those with experience.
