- Inhuman incident in Vanasthalipuram
- Temple boycott for an employee who married a Dalit woman
- Victims who complained to the police
According to the details of the victims, a man named Nakka Yadagiri Gowd has been working at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Sri Padmavati, Vanasthalipuram for the last 14 years. He was romantically married to a woman named Premalatha 2 months ago. Temple committee chairman Lakshmaiah decided to sack Yadagiri Gowda from his job as he belonged to the beloved Madhya social class. Premalatha, who could not bear the loss of her husband’s job due to her, went to Lakshmaiah’s house to talk about the matter.
Seeing the love affair, Lakshya swayed with rage and insulted her in the name of caste. Gentesi locked her in the gate so that she would not even step foot in the temple if she knew she belonged to the Madhya caste. Without stopping there, the temple committee members along with Satyanarayana, manager Srihari and Chiranjeevi’s followers broke the locks of the house where Yadagiri and his loved ones were living and threw their belongings out.
The victims turned to the police. However, the victims allege that the police also hesitated before taking a complaint on the incident. They say they eventually took the complaint and registered an FIR saying they would resort to caste groups. However, there are allegations that the police are trying to protect the top caste accused in the incident.
