In the 2nd Test in Wellington, the New Zealand team declared by accumulating 580 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the first innings. Kane Williamson scored 215 and Henry Nicholls scored 200 runs. In the first innings, the Sri Lankan team was bowled out for 164 runs in 66.5 overs.
Playing the 2nd innings behind by 416 runs, Sri Lanka scored 113 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 43 overs at the end of the 3rd day’s play.
