Prayagraj. Within a span of just three months, worms were again found in food inside Vande Bharat, which was going from Varanasi to New Delhi. The passenger has lodged a complaint in the complaint book after finding a worm in the food served to the passenger by the catering inside the train. When the passenger lodged a complaint, IRCTC fined the catering service.
A passenger named Vikas Kumar had to go from Prayagraj to New Delhi. He (Vande Bharat) was traveling on seat number 25 of coach number – C three. Food was served by catering service at his seat itself. When he started eating, he suddenly saw a worm in the vegetable. When the passenger complained about this, the passengers sitting nearby also checked their breakfast and food after seeing insects in the vegetables and within no time there was an uproar.
The TTE and IRCTC staff hurriedly tried to pacify the passenger development. Seeing the dispute escalating, a complaint against Vikas was registered. Let us tell you that earlier on September 1, in the same Vande Bharat, a passenger had asked for omelette for breakfast and when he started eating the omelette, he saw a cockroach in it.
Taking cognizance of this, IRCTC (Indian Railway Cantering Tourism) has imposed a fine on the contractor for serving poor quality food. The food contract in Vande Bharat is with RK Associates of Delhi. Let us tell you that even in the month of November, a worm was found in the food of Vande Bharat train and even then a fine was imposed.
