San Francisco. Two hours after affecting the logins of many iOS and Android users around the world, Instagram-owned photo and video-sharing platform Instagram has said it is now back online. According to outage tracking website downdetector.com, around 34,000 users reported problems accessing the platform late Thursday.
“And we’re back! We’ve resolved today’s issue and apologize for any inconvenience,” Instagram said in a tweet.
The social media platform said it found that “some people are having trouble accessing Instagram”.
It had earlier said, “We are working to get things back to normal as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience, please wait a bit.”
Instagram outage reports were 65 percent for app crashes, 24 percent for server connections, and 11 percent for login-related issues.
Users in the US, South America, Asia and Europe were majorly affected.
Meanwhile, several users took to Twitter to complain about the incident under the hashtag Instagram Down.
One user tweeted, “I can’t log into my account, please help.”
