San Francisco. Meta-owned photo and video sharing platform Instagram has announced that it will limit sensitive content to new teen users on the platform by default. Instagram said the only two options for teens in sensitive content controls are ‘Standard’ and ‘Less’.
The platform said in a blogpost, “Adolescents new to Instagram under the age of 16 will be placed in the ‘Lace’ status. For teens already on Instagram, we’re going to encourage them to opt for the ‘Lace’ experience.” Will send a signal to

In addition, Instagram said it is testing a new way to encourage teens to update their security and privacy settings.

In addition to exploring, users will now be able to control the amount of sensitive content and accounts that appear in Search, Reels, accounts you can follow, hashtag pages, and in-feed recommendations.
