San Francisco. Chip-maker Intel’s next-generation CPUs will reportedly support the yet-to-be-announced Windows 12. As The Verge reports, details on Intel’s Meteor Lake desktop platform have been revealed by hardware leaker Etdaret Leaf Hobby, who is known for revealing the full specifications of Intel’s Xeon CPUs ahead of release.
However, the tweet has now been deleted.
The chip maker has mentioned internally that its next-generation CPUs will support Windows 12.
Meteor Lake is likely to include 20 PCIe Gen5 lanes and support for Windows 12.
Microsoft hasn’t revealed its plans for Windows 12, but there are already indications that the company intends to integrate artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features into newer versions of Windows.
Microsoft’s consumer marketing head, Yusuf Mehdi, said in an interview earlier this week, “As we start developing future versions of Windows, we’ll think about other places where AI can have a role in terms of experience.” Must play a natural role.”
Microsoft will need to collaborate closely with hardware partners such as Intel and AMD to optimize chips that handle AI workloads, the report said.(IANS)
