Volkswagen is all set to launch its latest mid-size sedan in India soon. The company has announced that the new Volkswagen Vertus will be officially launched in the market on the 9th of next month. However, before the car officially hits the market, the company’s dealerships across the country are showing up. Pre-bookings for this car have already begun. The test drive is also set to begin soon. This car comes into showrooms before launch and impresses customers. This is the second product made in India by this German car company under the Volkswagen India 2.0 project. The first car was a Tiguan. This is a mid size SUV. Volkswagen is launching the Vertus in six colors. The car will be available in Rising Blue Metallic, Kurkuma Yellow, Carbon Steel Gray, Reflex Silver, Candy White and Wild Cherney Red. Rising Blue Metallic was recently launched at dealerships. Virtus is manufactured by the company in Pune, Maharashtra. It comes in two engine options. The 1.0 liter TSI engine produces 113 hp and 178 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter with an automatic transmission. The 1.5 liter TSI engine is powered by a 7 speed DSG. The Volkswagen Vertus will be 4561mm long and 1752mm wide. Wheel base 2651 mm. The boot space of this sedan is 521 liters. The car will compete with koda Slavia, Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Hyundai Verna.
