The Andhra Pradesh government has ordered a judicial inquiry into the Kandukuru and Guntur stampede incidents in Nellore district. The commission was formed under the leadership of retired High Court judge Justice Seshasayana Reddy. Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu suggested to identify the reasons and those responsible for the stampede in the assembly. The commission was asked to identify the flaws in the arrangements.The government said that in case of violation of permits, those responsible should be identified. The government has directed the commission to make suggestions on the measures to be taken in addition to the existing rules and to give a report on the incidents within a month.
Meanwhile, 11 people were killed in the stampede that took place in the meetings organized by TDP leader Chandrababu Kandukur and Guntur. In this, 8 people died in Kandukur of Nellore district and 3 people died in Guntur. Meanwhile, the Justice Seshashayana Reddy Commission will investigate these incidents.
