Delhi: Delhi Capitals won by 7 wickets in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Chasing a target of 182 runs, captain David Warner gave the Delhi team a solid start, but was quickly dismissed. Warner lost his wicket on 22 runs before the end of the power play. Another opener, Bill Salt, made Bengaluru’s bowling miserable despite Warner’s walk.
Thus the Delhi team reached 120 runs in 10 overs. Mitchel Marsh scored 26 runs and took a wicket. Bill Salt scored 87 off 45 balls in the final over to help the team win. Delhi team scored 187 runs in 16.4 overs and won by 7 wickets as Rusov added runs in the final stage. Rousseau went on to score an unbeaten 35.
Hazelwood, Harshal Patel and Karan Sharma took one wicket each for Bengaluru side.
Bengaluru Innings: The Delhi team and the Bengaluru team clashed in the match held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. RCB won the toss and chose to bat. Fab du Plessis and Virat Kohli, who entered the field as the opening players of the team, added runs without losing a wicket in 10 overs.
Fab du Plessis was out for 45 runs in the 11th over and Maxwell was dugout in the same over. Mukesh Kumar dismissed Virat Kohli with 55 runs after 15 overs, losing 3 wickets at the end of 16 overs, RCB added 137 runs.
Mahipal Lomaror’s impressive performance with 3 sixes filled the void left by Virat Kohli gave RCB fans hope. Also, Dinesh Karthik hit a six for his part and left with 11 runs.
After him Anuj Rawat hit a six and Royal Challengers Bangalore lost 4 wickets at the end of 20 overs and added 181 runs. Mahipal Lomaror remained unbeaten on 54 runs and Anuj Rawat on 8 runs. Mitchell Mash took 2 wickets and Mukesh Kumar and Khalil Ahmed took one wicket each for Delhi team.
