Bangalore: Lucknow Supergiants won the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The team won by one wicket in the last ball.

Chasing the Himalayan target of 213 runs, Lucknow Supergiants did not get off to a good start like the last match. Siraj shocked the Lucknow side by taking the wicket of Kyle Meyers on the 3rd ball of the innings. Not only the opening, but none of the top order batsmen contributed to the team.

Deepak Hooda, who was poor in the first two matches, did not perform well in this match either. Wayne Parnell took the second wicket for 9 runs and Krunal Pandya for the third wicket. But Marcus Stoinis, who landed next to them, scattered the balls to all four corners of the ground.

He rattled the RCB bowlers and crossed the fifties with consecutive sixes and fours in the over of Karan Sharma, who was fielded as an impact player. But the same Karan Sharma was caught trying to hit a six in the next over. He scored 65 runs off 30 balls with 5 sixes and 6 fours. In the next over when Stoinis was out, KL Rahul, who was patient till then, was caught by Virat Kohli trying to hit Siraj for a six. Opening the innings, Rahul scored only 18 runs off 20 balls. After this the ground started heating up. Next up, Nicholas Pooran swung the bat unconcerned about the loss of his wicket. Pooran continued the action left by Stoinis. He crossed 50 runs in 15 balls and did not give up the action even after crossing the half century.

Siraj also defeated him who had scored 62 runs. Lucknow came close to victory thanks to the action of Stoinis and Pooran. At the end with 7 runs needed from 9 balls, Aayosh Badoni hit Burnell for a six and was unexpectedly hit out.

Harshal Patel took an uncut single off the first ball of the over to win by 5 runs in the last over. Mark Wood clean bowled the next ball. Ravi Bishnoi scored 2 and 1 runs off the next two balls to tie the score. Lucknow will win if they score a run in the 5th ball. Unadcut is caught tossing the ball.

After this, Avesh Khan came to the fore. Attempting to mancut the last ball failed. Lucknow finally reached the target in the last ball and won by one wicket.

Siraj and Purnell took 3 wickets each for Bengaluru side.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Innings: Lucknow won the toss and elected to bowl in this match held at Bengaluru Chinnaswamy ground. Accordingly, Virat Kohli, who entered the field, gave a great start to the Faf du Plessis team. Amit Mishra dismissed the wicketkeeper who was on the side of the Vlasi team for 61 runs in 44 balls.

Next up, Maxwell Foff to Plessis. The two scattered Lucknow’s bowling in all fours and created a partnership of 50 runs in 27 balls. Kurunal Pandya’s miss from Du Plessis in the 17th over gave the RCB fans an extra boost.

The Lucknow bowlers were unable to separate their partnership of 100 runs in 44 balls. Maxwell was bowled by Mark Wood in 19.5 overs. Maxwell scored 59 runs off 29 balls and hit 6 sixes.

In the end, RCB scored 212 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Fab du Plessis was in the field with 79 runs and Dinesh Karthik with 1 run. It is noteworthy that RCB’s score increased due to the performance of the top 3 batsmen. Amit Mishra and Mark Wood took 1 wicket each for Lucknow.
