The 3-day National Conference of All State Police Chiefs and Security Chiefs in Uttar Pradesh ended last Sunday. To this end, Tamils working in various fields as top officials of the state welcomed the DGP of Tamil Nadu Silenthrababu who came to Lucknow for the first time.
The Conference of Chiefs of Police of all States, Union Territories and Central Security Forces was held in Lucknow this year. The conference was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
In the last two days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering. DGP Silenthrababu, who arrived in Lucknow on Thursday last week to attend the conference on behalf of Tamil Nadu, left for Chennai yesterday.
Since assuming office as an IPS officer in Tamil Nadu, Silenthrababu has spoken on various educational platforms and written many books. Impressed by his comments, many students are writing the UPSC exam.
They hold positions in its 25 types of civil service, including IAS, IPS, and IRS. Among them are Tamils working in UP. Thus, many including them had come to welcome DGP Silentara Babu in Lucknow.

Speaking to ‘Hindu Tamil Direction’ website, Tamil DGP Silenthrababu said, ‘It is a pleasure to hear my speeches and to see that many of my brothers and sisters are also working as civil servants in UP.
The training I imparted at the Coimbatore Agricultural University alone, including C. Senthilpandian of UP, Amutha of Tamil Nadu to VP Jayaseelan, Director of News of Tamil Nadu, also helped.
I learned that all the Ubi Tamils met me and talked about their missions, management skills and challenges. I advised all of them to exercise regularly every day. ‘ He said.
Cycling in UP too
Meanwhile, Silenthrababu has cycled about 60 km with Rajesh’s Lucknow Pedals, an UP resident who studied at IIT Chennai.
Returning to Purvanchal Road on Varanasi Road, Silenthrababu also had tea at a shop on the side of India’s largest expressway.
