Despite the denial provided by Giuliana Rengifo, the visual testimony provided by a follower of Instarándula shows the singer and Donald Yaipén together and quite affectionate. In the revealing images, the musician appears touching the singer’s arm in an intimate setting. “Yesterday I saw Rengifo very affectionate with this paw”commented the witness when sending the video to Samuel Suárez’s account.
Samuel Suárez did not miss the opportunity to joke about the subject and suggested that everything could be a musical collaboration between Giuliana Rengifo and the Candela Orchestra. “Giulianita, you have some tastes… ha, ha, ha. Who is Donald Yaipén?
Donald Yaipén, prominent musician and member of the Candela Orchestra, is a fundamental piece of the group. He is a pianist and percussionist. He began his artistic career at the age of 10, as a singer, and at the age of 15 he began to play the piano.
A little-known fact is that Yaipén was also a teacher and worked in a primary school between 2002 and 2010. However, he decided to leave teaching to move to Lima and dedicate himself to the Candela Orchestra. In 2016 and 2017, he won awards for the song ‘You will miss me’ and won the award for best video clip and best song of the year.
Additionally, Yaipén is the founder of the recording studio Studio Virtual Sound, which he started in his home in Monsefú. The cumbia singer commented that he started this musical project in his home and that artists from Chile, Bolivia, and Ecuador travel to record his songs.
