Dhaka. Incidents against minorities including Hindus are continuously increasing in Bangladesh. On Friday, another temple of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) was vandalized and set on fire by miscreants. According to reports, the attack was carried out on ISKCON Namhatta temple. There is no information about anyone being injured in this incident yet.
This incident is another attack targeting Hindu minorities in the country. The incident was confirmed by Kolkata ISKCON Vice President Radharaman Das by sharing its photo on his X account. According to him, the idols of gods and goddesses and other items kept in the temple were completely burnt. This temple comes under Turag police station area of Dhaka. Das told that there is a tin roof behind the temple, which was uprooted. After this it was set on fire using petrol.
In a post on X, Radharaman Das wrote, ‘Another ISKCON Namhatta center was burnt in Bangladesh. The idols of Sri Sri Lakshmi Narayan and all the items inside the temple were completely burnt. This center is located in Dhaka. Today early morning between 2-3 am, miscreants set on fire Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple and Sri Sri Mahabhagya Lakshmi Narayan Temple, which belongs to Hari Krishna Namhatta Sangha. The temple is located in Dhaur village of Dhaka district, and comes under Turag police station area.
Let us tell you that a week before this, an ISKCON center was demolished in Bhairab. According to eyewitnesses, a group of unruly elements had entered the temple premises and vandalized it. After the departure of Sheikh Hasina from power in Bangladesh, continuous attacks are being seen against Hindus. Hindu organizations are continuously protesting regarding this.
