Israeli tankers were reportedly involved in the attack. However, the Israeli army did not comment on the matter. Here are some statistics released by the Ministry of Health in Gaza about the state of the health sector. It said, “Almost 18 out of 35 hospitals are out of service. 51 out of 72 primary health centers are closed. There have been over 270 attacks on the health sector in Gaza. 57 ambulances have been damaged; 45 of them have been completely destroyed.”
Israeli forces also surrounded four hospitals, Al-Randisi Hospital, Al-Nasr Hospital, Government Eye Hospital and Psychiatric Hospital. There are many schools and residential buildings in the area. “Thousands of patients, medical staff and displaced people are trapped in hospitals without water or food,” it said. As bombs exploded in his neighborhood in the northeastern part of Gaza City, 32-year-old Abu Muhammad took refuge in a nearby hospital with 15 of his relatives. He said there was no safe place. He said that he did not know what to do.
