Former combatant Israel Dreyfus revealed shocking details about the scam of which he was a victim, carried out by Gonzalo Méndez, ex-partner of the comic actress Gabriela Serpa. The person involved, who fled to Colombia and whose current whereabouts are unknown, left Dreyfus with a significant debt of more than 130,000 soles.
What did Israel Dreyfus say about the scam of which he was a victim?
Israel Dreyfus, known for his participation in competition programs, revealed that González Méndez currently owes him the exorbitant figure of 130,000 soles after having trusted Gabriela Serpa’s ex-partner, who told him that his uncle had a company that worked with the State , supposedly linked to tenders with the Government. These connections ‘promised’ him million-dollar interests, but sadly it was all a pyramid scam.
“Currently he owes me 130,000 soles. I’ve already ruined the interest” admitted the ex-combatant, who pointed out that he has decided to set aside the profits he could have earned from the debt and that he only wants Méndez to return his money.
The beginning of the deception began with a transaction of 78,000 soles that Gonzalo Méndez borrowed from Israel Dreyfus. This sum was returned with interest, which helped solidify the athlete’s trust in the false businessman. However, this first loan turned out to be just the hook.
Later, Méndez requested a larger amount, 130,000 soles, and took advantage of the trust gained after the success of the first loan. Dreyfus, confident in the precedent, did not hesitate to deliver the requested sum. “I gave him everything I had” revealed the ex-combatant.
How did Israel Dreyfus meet Gonzalo Méndez?
The relationship between Israel Dreyfus and Gonzalo Méndez began innocently. According to the model, he met Gabriela Serpa’s ex-boyfriend through an ex-partner who introduced them. From that moment on, they began hanging out at nightclubs and eventually became close friends. This friendly relationship was what allowed Méndez to gain Israel’s trust, a key factor in the scam that would follow.
“I have passed the stage of denying myself, of crying alone. At what moment did we fall, did we believe him? We trust a friend so blindly, don’t we? Or someone who showed himself as such, because everything was premeditated,” said the ex-combatant with obvious disappointment and pain.
On the other hand, the situation became even more complicated when Israel Dreyfus decided it was time to publicly denounce the scam. Shortly before exposing the deception, Gonzalo Méndez’s father contacted the model and told him that his son had problems related to his mental health. Furthermore, he promised to return all the money given. Despite this, the return has not yet been fulfilled.
Until the closing of this note, Gonzalo Méndez had escaped to Colombia with the nine million soles that he managed to extract from the victims.
