digital desk, Jerusalem. Israel has announced to reduce the quarantine period required for people found to be Corona positive. This information was given by the Ministry of Health of Israel.
Director General of the Ministry Nachman Aish said that the quarantine period will be reduced from 10 to 7 days, provided no symptoms are seen in the last three days of the quarantine.
In recent weeks, the ministry conducted tests among 80 Omicron patients and found that after 7 days of illness, the probability of contracting the virus was only 6 percent, Xinhua news agency reported.
The ministry said that the new rule will be effective from Thursday.
Israel’s Health Minister Nitjan Horowitz said, “We will not extend the quarantine beyond what is necessary to keep health and the economy, education and culture as regulated as possible.”
