The Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Alexei Russkikh discussed with the President of the Russian Wrestling Federation Mikhail Mamiashvili the concept of creating a Wrestling Center.
“In 2022, we will continue to implement the priority areas of the federal project“ Sport is the Norm of Life ”. The construction of the Wrestling Center will make it possible to create a sports facility for residents of the new microdistrict within walking distance, ”noted Alexey Russkikh.
A wrestling center is planned to be built in a new residential area of the Zavolzhsky district of Ulyanovsk. Now the design of the structure is underway, writes ulpravda.ru. Mikhail Mamiashvili noted the effective joint work of the relevant department and the regional wrestling federation in this direction.
Earlier, the Russian championship among men and women in karate-kyokushinkai in the discipline of shinkekushinkai was held in Samara. The tournament was attended by 120 strongest athletes from 24 regions of the Russian Federation. The Samara region was represented by seven athletes: three in the kumite discipline, the rest in kata. The best result was demonstrated by the representative of the Kinelsky region Irina Fadeeva, who took the fourth place in the kata discipline. In the fight for bronze, Irina lost to her rival from the Ulyanovsk region Anastasia Belova.
“Based on the results of the past starts, the Russian team will be formed, which will perform at the World Championships in Japan in May 2022,” commented Pavel Shor, President of the Shinkekushinkai Federation of the Samara Region.
