At least two Italian companies plan to return to the Russian market. The head of the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in the Russian Federation, Vittorio Torrembini, stated this in an interview with Izvestia.
“Two companies that produce equipment want to return to Russia because they risk losing the market. But I can’t say which ones specifically – they are afraid that they will find out about them,” he noted.
Torrembini explained that not a single Italian company intends to leave Russia before the end of 2023, despite the fact that some have to cut staff. The head of the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs added that in total there are now more than 300 companies operating in Russia.
“There are Italian companies that have production in Russia. There are about 110 of them. And there are companies that simply have a representative office here, or just small companies. There are about 250 of them,” Torrembini said.
