The Italian media outlet, Mediterraneos, recently highlighted the dynamic development and “sustainable” development witnessed by Morocco, which has long been considered a “land of peace, tolerance and dialogue.”
“Under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco continues to affirm its position as a country experiencing sustainable growth that aspires to provide a prosperous future for young people,” the news portal wrote, noting “the Kingdom’s intense economic dynamism, its social-humanitarian approach, and its tolerant global dimension.”
Mediterraneos quoted the Archbishop of Rabat, Cardinal Cristobal Lopez Romero, as saying, “I arrived in Morocco for the first time in 2003 and witnessed the great socio-economic progress that has occurred in recent years,” stressing that the Kingdom “began years ago to follow the dynamic of growth.” which made it possible to significantly reduce poverty rates.
According to the Archbishop, “progress in agriculture, industry, services and infrastructure is remarkable,” adding that “job opportunities exist in Morocco and the level of unemployment is lower than in some European countries.”
He pointed out that “the motivation for migration for young Moroccans is no longer economic,” noting that Morocco is “a land of coexistence and tolerance for a long time.”
The Archbishop of Rabat stressed that His Majesty the King, Commander of the Faithful, protects the rights of Christians, Jews and Muslims alike, praising the work of the Moroccan authorities and their constant readiness for dialogue.
