The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has developed four variants of a new uniform for military personnel who work in the zone of a special operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass. On Thursday, February 9, Izvestia correspondent Leonid Kitrar visited the production facility and got acquainted with the features of the clothes.
“The main feature of the new form is not even the cut, but the color. If earlier the field form was a standard green pixel, then the new one will be of this color. There are seven colors here. There is no name yet, but it is this color that the uniform will go to the NWO zone, ”he said.
When developing the uniform, the opinion of the military serving in the NVO zone was taken into account. Particular attention is paid to comfort and durability. The first batches will go to the servicemen in the spring.
According to the founder of the design bureau Artem Stepanenko, the sample went through over 150 configurations after being tested in various special forces.
As cutter Lyubov Ledeneva noted, the new uniform is cut in such a way that every line and eyelet is comfortable for the military. She added that in production they are proud of the fighters who protect the Russians.
The fact that the military department is developing a new form, it became known on February 7th. As specified, the kits being developed include a set of summer, wind and waterproof, demi-season and winter field uniforms and footwear.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which the President of Russia announced on February 24, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
