Jagan Sarkar dismayed by Supreme Court order lifting suspension on IPS ABV

Former state intelligence chief and senior IPS officer AB Venkateswara Rao’s fight paid off. The Jagan government on Wednesday issued orders lifting the suspension of AB Venkateswara Rao as per the Supreme Court orders. It is learned that the Jagan government has suspended AB Venkateswara Rao on charges of being the Chief of Intelligence during the last TDP government and committing irregularities. However, AB Venkateswara Rao went to court against the suspension. The ABV suspension has been the subject of lengthy hearings in the High Court and the Supreme Court.

The apex court recently issued a landmark judgment quashing the suspension of former AP intelligence chief AB Venkateswara Rao. Jagan directed the government to take him into service immediately. The Supreme Court refused to intervene in the orders given by the AP High Court.

The AP High Court also lifted the suspension on AB Venkateswara Rao. The Supreme Court has made it clear that these orders will be enforced. The apex court has ordered that Venkateswara Rao’s two-year suspension expire on February 7 and that he be paid his due salary from February 8. AB Venkateswara Rao came to the Secretariat in uniform recently in the wake of the Supreme Court verdict. In this context, the Jagan government issued orders lifting the suspension of AB Venkateswara Rao.
