Lawyer Yogesh Pill has filed a petition seeking directions to provide 25 per cent free seats to poor students in private schools under the Right to Education Act brought by the Center. The High Court, which heard the case, quashed the stay order issued in 2010 restraining the replacement of 25 per cent of the seats free of cost. It ordered an affidavit with full details of what the government was doing to enforce the law.
