He said that the provisions of the Right to Education Act will be strictly enforced. He said that the identification of eligible students is going on.

He said a meeting was held with all the concerned departments as part of the guidelines formulated for the implementation of the Right to Education Act. Jivo 53 has been issued finalizing the fees in private schools. For this, a special portal has to be created. It will take two to three months. The 2021-22 academic year has already begun. That is why this provision will be implemented from next academic year. The court was brought to the attention of an additional affidavit filed on the implementation of the Right to Education Act. The CJ bench adjourned the case till next week

Lawyer Yogesh Pill has filed a petition seeking directions to provide 25 per cent free seats to poor students in private schools under the Right to Education Act brought by the Center. The High Court, which heard the case, quashed the stay order issued in 2010 restraining the replacement of 25 per cent of the seats free of cost. It ordered an affidavit with full details of what the government was doing to enforce the law.
