Jagananna Foreign Education Scholarship is being offered to all the eligible students on a saturated basis without any quotas. Admissions in foreign universities in 2 seasons every year, students are selected in a transparent manner by the state level selection committee headed by the principal secretaries of the respective departments. Top 200 universities have been selected according to World University QS Rankings for quality education.
For SC, ST, BC and minority students who have got admission in top 100 universities, a maximum of Rs. 1.25 crores. For the rest, a maximum of Rs. Providing 100 percent tuition fee up to 1 crore. 100 percent tuition fee for selected SC, ST, BC and Minority students in universities with 100 to 200 QS ranks up to a maximum of Rs. 75 lakhs. For the rest of the students, a maximum of Rs. 50 lakhs or 50 percent of the tuition fee whichever is less. It also pays for flight and visa charges for students going to foreign universities.
Scholarships are granted in 4 installments to the students going abroad to complete the course. The first installment will be given to the students who have got the immigration card (I-94). The second installment will be given to the students after the results of the first semester. 3rd installment will be paid when 2nd semester results are released. 4th installment will be paid as last installment after successful completion of 4th semester and upload of mark sheet. In this way, all the true deserving people will be benefited in full transparency in the saturation system. Annual family income limit is Rs. Those who are under 8 lakh are eligible for this foreign education scholarship. In the previous government, the annual family income limit was Rs. Only those under 6 lakh are eligible.. Now the Jagan government has increased that limit.
