A black jaguar attacked a minor, an animal that was seized at a ranch called The bull, located at kilometer 31 of the highway to Juarez City in the state of Chihuahua. The feline It caused her serious injuries so she had to be hospitalized. in it Children’s Hospital, the prosecutor’s office reported.
Elements of the Central Zone District Attorney’s Office executed a search warrant at the ranch, action that was completed by agents of the Public Ministry and elements of the State Investigation Agency assigned to the Specialized Unit for the Investigation of Crimes against Physical Integrity and Damage, in coordination with personnel from the Federal Prosecutor’s Office for Environmental Protection (Profepa).
At the site, a cage measuring approximately 2.5 meters by 4.5 meters wide was found and inside it, an exotic black jaguar-type animal was located, which allegedly attacked a minor in recent days, causing serious bodily harm.
Profepa personnel proceeded to secure the feline, which was transferred to the Serengeti Zoo. During the site inspection, various irregularities and non-optimal conditions for workers were observed, for which the corresponding report was prepared.
The Central Zone District Attorney’s Office reported that will continue investigations against whoever is responsible for the damage caused to the minor, as well as the care of the feline.
