Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that relations between India and Canada are going through difficult times. We will start visa service, but our priority is the safety of diplomats. Jaishankar said these things at the closing ceremony of Kautilya Economic Conclave-2023 on Sunday, October 22.
During this, Jaishankar also discussed about the ongoing tension between India and Canada and the wars going on in different parts of the world. In fact, Canada had accused the Indian government of getting Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar murdered. After this India banned issuing visas to Canadian citizens.

S. Jaishankar said that India-Canada relations are currently going through a difficult phase. Our problem is with certain parts of Canadian politics. Right now the biggest concern of the people is regarding visa. A few weeks ago we stopped issuing visas to Canada because it was not safe for our diplomats to go to work to issue visas. If we see a possibility of security for our diplomats in Canada, we will start issuing visas there again.

There is instability due to conflicts taking place in different parts of the world. We have experienced this with the Russia-Ukraine war. Impact of War What is happening in the Middle East right now?
