SrinagarSecurity forces and police conducted a search operation in Pahalgam area of Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday following information that militants were on the move.
Then, there was a gun battle between the security forces and the militants. In which 3 militants were shot dead. One of them was identified as Ashraf Malvi. He is one of the longest serving militants in the Hizbul Mujahideen organization.
