The Japanese Embassy in Saudi Arabia announced that, starting March 27, 2023, Saudi nationals and holders of residency in the Kingdom can apply for a tourist visa online (single-entry visa for stays of up to 90 days).
And it stated, in a statement, today, Friday, that applicants must submit a visa application through the JAPAN eVISA system by (filling out the application form, uploading supporting documents) and receiving the visa electronically, the “Visa Issuance Notice.”
She added: “Applicants must log in to the JAPAN eVISA website and display the “Visa Issuance Notice” at the airport of departure with the device connected to the Internet, confirming that the PDF data, screenshot or print version of the page will not be accepted, according to “Okaz” Saudi Arabia. .
The embassy stated that in the case of visas that require fees (according to nationality), the applicant or (whoever acts on his behalf) must visit the Japanese Embassy in Riyadh or the Consulate General in Jeddah to pay the visa fee in cash, because electronic payment services are not available at the present time.
She called for submitting the application at least 7 days before the scheduled date of arrival in Japan, explaining that visas are valid for 3 months from the date of issue.
