Al Ain, led by its new Portuguese coach Leonardo Jardim, defeated its host Al Orouba 4-2, today, Thursday, in the eighth round of the ADNOC Professional Football League.
Al Ain entered the atmosphere of the match with a clear offensive start in an attempt to score the lead goal, until it waited until the 12th minute, when Sufyan Rahimi scored the first goal from a clear error by Al Orouba goalkeeper, Abdullah Youssef, to head the ball into the net.
Al Ain continued its performance with the same offensive approach, and Laba Kodjo was able to increase his team’s lead, taking advantage of a ball that fell from the goalkeeper’s hands and completing it into the goal, “29”.
Before the end of the first half, Mohamed Awadallah added the third goal for the leader from a ball he received inside the box from his colleague Sufyan Rahimi, which he shot perfectly into the goal (44).
Immediately after that, Al-Orouba missed the opportunity to reduce the difference before leaving for the dressing room, when Abu Bakr Trauli shot a ball into the stands while he was alone, past goalkeeper Khaled Issa.
In the second half, Sufyan Rahimi missed an eye-catching opportunity in the same way as Trauli, after he was alone on goal and shot over the crossbar.
Laba Kodjo was able to add his second personal goal and the fourth for his team from a ball made by Mohamed Awadallah that he headed into the net (62).
Al-Orouba appeared in a different way in the last 20 minutes of the match, and with it, Mohamed Reda Azadi reduced the ball hit by Al-Ain’s defense and scored his team’s first goal, “73”.
Five minutes later, Gabriel Kak scored the second goal for his team from “Darbaka” in front of Al Ain’s goal, but it was not enough to return the result.
