The rapper and businessman Shawn Carter known worldwide as Jay-Z has been accused along with music producer Sean Diddy Combs of a serious crime that occurred in 2000. The accusation was presented by a woman who, under the pseudonym Jane Doe, accuses them of having violated her when she was only 13 years old in a incident that occurred in the United States.

The complaint was filed in October 2023 in federal court in the Southern District of New York, initially against Sean Combs. However, on December 8, the lawsuit was expanded to include to Jay-Z who is the singer’s husband Beyonce .
The woman, legally identified as Jane Doe has stated in its lawsuit that both Jay-Z like P. Diddy were involved in sexual abuse of her when she was a minor. The lawsuit claims the abuse occurred in 2000, although few additional details have been provided about the case as much of the documentation remains sealed due to the sensitive nature of the allegations.
In response to increased demand, Jay-Z he flatly denied all the accusations. Through his lawyer, the rapper issued a formal statement in which he categorically rejects the accusations against him. “These allegations are so egregious in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil complaint,” Jay-Z stated. “Anyone who commits such a crime against a minor should be imprisoned. The victims of these crimes deserve true justice if that were the case,” he added in his statement to NBC.
