Job Losses Don't End; Amazon Lays Off Workers In India

Currently, Amazon India has also decided to lay off employees. Amazon Web Service (AWS) and Human Resource Team People Experience and Technology Solutions (PXT) verticals are losing jobs. Last March, Amazon CEO Andy Jesse announced layoffs in the company. It was estimated that around 9,000 people would lose their jobs. Part of this is believed to be the current layoff. The Indian team of the company will also lose their jobs. It is estimated that around 400 to 500 people will lose their jobs.

There were also reports that 100 people in the People Experience & Technology Solutions division had lost their jobs by the end of last week. More than 80 people on the data management team were let go last Friday, an employee said. Currently, it is known that the company will continue to provide health insurance coverage for a few days to those who lose their jobs.

AWS CEO Adam Selipsky announced that the layoffs at Amazon Web Services will begin in April. The rollout, which will begin in North America, is aimed at expanding globally. Adam Selipsky said the current layoffs are due to a decline in Amazon Webservices revenue and global economic conditions.
