The courts of the Al Habtoor Grand Resort in Jumeirah will witness this afternoon the final of the 27th Al Habtoor International Women’s Tennis Challenge for singles and doubles, after the first seed in the tournament, consisting of the Czech Anastasia Debuyck and the Russian Anastasia Tikhonova, qualified for the doubles final at the expense of the doubles tournament consisting of the Russian Tatania Rozorova and the Croatian Tara Worth in two sets. On the singles level, British player Jodi Baric qualified for the tournament final at the expense of rising Belgian player Sofia Costolso, in two sets without a response, after an exciting match that lasted an hour and 32 minutes, making Jodi a party in the final.
The first-place finisher in the Al Habtoor International Tennis Championship will receive 100 points in her ITF classification, whether doubles or singles. The second-place finishers will receive 65 points. As for the financial prize, the singles winner will receive an amount of 15,239 thousand dollars, and the runner-up will receive 8,147 thousand dollars. He said: “14 referees from five nationalities participated in managing the tournament matches. The organizing committee used a team of Filipino referees that included Mario Derrera, Jonathan Camero, Roel Moreno, Del Montelito, Aden Albino, Wayne Asifan, Edgardo DeLeon, and Samuel Galifio, in addition to an Iraqi crew that included three line referees, namely Hashim.
