Prajashanti party chief KA Paul has announced that he will give an MLA ticket to the father of Telangana immortal Srikanthachari. Srikanthachari’s father said he would win the next assembly elections and enter the assembly as a minister. Srikanthachari’s martyrdom is on December 3, 2009. He commented that Sisal is the birth anniversary of Telangana. From now on, the people of Telangana were asked to celebrate the day as the day of the emergence of Telangana.
Earlier in the day, Paul had said at the party office in Hyderabad that 20 per cent of the tickets would be given to the families of the martyrs and 10 per cent to the activists. Paul said that Srikanthachari’s father will be given a ticket in this order. He spoke to the media after paying tribute at the Gun Park Martyrs’ Stupa on Thursday morning. Paul said a huge public meeting would be held under the auspices of the Prajashanti Party on December 3 this year on the occasion of Srikanthachari’s death. Free education and medical services will be launched for the families of Telangana martyrs. He said that big leaders from the central government were supporting him. He commented that he would develop the Telugu states with their cooperation. He said that he would protect the Telugu states from debt and develop them. Paul assured that the unemployed and farmers in Telangana would not commit suicide and that the Prajashanti Party would stand firm. Everyone in the state was asked to vote for the Prajasanthi Party. No one from the KCR family was martyred for Telangana.
Srikanthachari’s father Venkatachari said the state government had forgotten the families of the martyrs. They demanded justice for the activists and the families of the martyrs. Srikanthachari Jayanti and Vardhanthu will be celebrated in government offices across the state. He said that he would once again make a movement for the people of the state.
