In the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), the settlement of Yuzhne was liberated. This was announced on May 12 in the Telegram channel by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
According to him, Russian banners have been installed on the buildings in Yuzhny.
“The Chechen security forces, together with the fighters of the people’s militia of the LPR, systematically dismantled the enemy’s fortification positions and promptly denazified all representatives of the Ukrainian army. After completing combat missions, the guys proceeded to the official part – hoisting the symbols of freedom, ”the politician wrote.
According to him, there is a positive trend in the Lugansk direction, the Russian army is liberating the cities from Ukrainian nationalists.
“We will not rest until every ideological follower of Bandera gets what he deserves,” he promised.
Earlier on Thursday, Kadyrov said that several fighters of the territorial defense of Ukraine were taken prisoner at the Zarya gunpowder factory in the LPR. As a result of actions in the area of the Zarya plant in Voevodovka, a significant part of the enemy’s manpower was destroyed. The rest at the same time fled, said the politician.
On May 11, Kadyrov also stated that the LPR servicemen, together with the fighters of the Russian special forces “Akhmat”, took control of two settlements, as well as the Zarya gunpowder factory.
Russia continues the special operation launched on February 24 to protect the civilian population in the Donbass. Moscow explained that the tasks of the special operation included the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, which is necessary to ensure the security of Russia. The decision was made against the background of aggravation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military. The authorities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics announced the evacuation of residents to the Russian Federation, and on February 21, Russian leader Vladimir Putin signed a decree recognizing the independence of the DPR and LPR.
