The UAE’s Kalba Tigers team won the title of the “International Club Futsal Championship” organised by the “International Mini Football 5×5” company, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, at the Dubai Sports World pitches in the Dubai World Trade Centre from September 1st to 5th, as part of the “Our Summer is Sports” initiative launched by the Council, which includes events and competitions in various sports.
The winners of the first places in the tournament were crowned by Maher Julfar, Deputy CEO of Dubai World Trade Centre, Ali Omar, Director of Sports Events Department at Dubai Sports Council, and Karim Muqaddam, the tournament organizer. The “Kalba Tigers” won the tournament cup after defeating the Iranian team Zalka in the final match with a score of 2-1, while the Salar Khosrowshah team came in third place after defeating the Argentine Football Technology.
Karim Hamed from the Kalba Tigers team won the award for the best scorer in the tournament, while Abdulaziz Al Balushi from the same team won the title of best goalkeeper, while Mojtaba Hassan Zadeh from the Iranian Zalqa team won the title of best player in the tournament.
Nine teams participated in the tournament: Real Brussels of Belgium, Tastan Yerevan of Armenia, Kalba Tigers of the Emirates, Football Technology of Argentina, National Paints of Palestine, and four Iranian teams: Zalqa, Salar Khosrowshah, Diyari Mahdi Abad, and Arad.
